Quality & Safety Manager

Job Description:
- Deputize for the Director of Quality and Safety in his absence
- Liaise with Thai DCA or other applicable National Aviation Authorities where applicable pursuant to the ongoing administration of Operational and Maintenance Approvals held by the company
- Conduct audits of internal departments to assess compliance with applicable regulations and company policies/procedures
- Conduct with audits and evaluations of vendors of aviation services and/or products to assess compliance with regulations and company policies/procedures
- Process Occurrence and Hazard reports in accordance with applicable regulations and company policy
- Be an active member of the Emergency Response Team
- Assist department heads with development of corrective actions/preventative actions and mitigating strategies
- Assist with maintaining current the company manuals, forms and records in accordance with company Document Control and Record Control policy/procedure
- Assist with maintaining current the Operations and Maintenance Certificates and their associated Operations Specifications as well as independent industry accreditations
- Assist with administration Repair Station Authorizations for Certifying Staff, Inspectors and RII staff
Assist the Chief Inspector with oversight of Repair Station staff training, currency of technical data, currency of tool calibrations/equipment inspection & maintenance schedules and validity of shelf life items
Assist with administration of Drug & Alcohol Misuse program
Assist with tracking of departmental Key Performance Indicators for Quality & Safety Management Systems and related Management Evaluation Reviews
- Cooperate and support Occupational Health & Safety Officer with maintaining compliance with related Thai Labor Laws
- Complete initial and continuation/recurrent training program requirements in a timely manner
- Deliver department specific training for all company staff
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable aviation regulations and industry standards
- Other projects and duties as assigned by the department head

Preferred Skills :
- Must be fluent in English, other languages desirable
- Effective communication / interpersonal skills
- Above average knowledge of aviation regulations (Thai DCA primary, FAA and/or EASA also desirable)
- Intermediate or above average knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suite programs
- Technical writing

Preferred Education / Experience :
- A miminum of 5 years experience in aviation and/or quality assurance or combination thereof required
- Holding an Aviation Degree or CAAT Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License, EASA Part 66 B1/B2 license, FAA A&P or other National Aviation Authority equivalent prefereble
- Previous experience/exposure to Thai DCA/CAAT or other National Aviation Authorities preferable

Additional Information :

- To deliver services effectively, a degree of flexibility is needed, and this role may require the need to perform work not specifically referred to in this job description
- This role may involve an amount of domestic and international travel, the level of which is expected to be small to moderate
- Working hours: Normal office hours, however out of hours telephone calls will be required which may cover 24 hours
